Established in 1996 by Paddy Buckley, Buckley Stairs has a reputation for providing high quality, well designed, custom made architectural metalwork to the private residential and commercial and retail sectors for over two decades. Over the years I have completed projects for hotels, bars, restaurants, shopping centres, schools and hundreds of private houses, working with architects, interior designers, builders, engineers, supplying products and services including stairs, balconies, railings, gates furniture and lighting. Situated on the Kerry/Cork border, I am well placed to cover counties Kerry, Cork, and Limerick.

Experience: Over 20 years in the Architectural metal work business and have worked with architects engineers interior designers and building contractors. I have also worked in many hotels and commercial premises over the years. I see all projects through from the initial consultation through design, details, drawings, materials right through to completion. I am involved in all aspects of the project and I am available to the client at all stages of the project for practical advice and guidance. Early planning is the key to successful outcomes. This will allow the client thinking time as regards the type of stairs design and materials selection. All aspects of the project would ideally need to be worked through in advance. Details such as stairs fixing underfloor heating, building regulations, available space. At Buckley Stairs we use a combination of mild steel structure, wooden steps, glass, wood or stainless balustrade in a variety of combinations to meet the clients requirements. All work is manufactured in our modern, well-equipped workshop in Gneeveguilla.
Step 1: Consultation over the phone or email.
Step 2: Site consultation and survey.
Step 3: Design: I would then work on finding the best possible design solution taking into consideration the clients preferences, what is possible on site, building regulations and the clients budget.
Step 4: Using the best quality materials the stairs is then built to exacting standards in my workshop. The wood elements are made and finished to a high standard by my working partners.
Step 5: Installation: A fitting date is agreed and the stairs will be fitted with the minimum of fuss.
